Job Title: Plant Operations Assistant

Job Summary:

The Plant Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of the plant to meet production targets. This includes performing routine operational tasks under supervision while ensuring safety and procedural compliance. The role requires effective communication with team members and supervisors to ensure reliable and smooth operations.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in operating and monitoring process equipment to ensure safety standards compliance.

• Monitor and record equipment operational parameters and report abnormalities to the Control Room Operator (CRO) or Supervisors.

• Support system start-ups and shutdowns as directed by supervisors.

• Assist in pressurizing and depressurizing equipment and pipelines when required.

• Regularly check pressure, delta pressure, temperature, and level gauges, reporting irregularities to the CRO.

• Follow instructions from the CRO or Supervisors to maintain stable plant operations and support production optimization.

• Adhere to QHSE standards and procedures, including LOTO, PTW, TBT, and JHA, ensuring proper documentation of tasks.

• Participate in training sessions and reviews of operational procedures, providing basic feedback for improvement.

• Conduct basic operational and maintenance checks (daily, weekly, monthly) under supervision.

• Assist in preparing equipment for maintenance, including isolation, draining, and decontamination.

• Ensure accurate and timely handover of information to the next shift team.

• Identify and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.

• Safely handle and top up chemicals, lubricants, and coolants, and collect samples as directed.

• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards during and after tasks.

• Comply with Emergency Response Team (ERT) roles and responsibilities as assigned.

• Adhere to Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE policies, and all company guidelines.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Job Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Minimum of a technical degree in Industrial Processes, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum, or equivalent.

• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas sector.

• Familiar with plant equipment, processes, and ongoing activities.

• General troubleshooting, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

• Basic understanding of Plant PFDs, P&IDs, drawings, Cause & Effect matrix, and Fire & Gas detection system philosophy.

• Basic knowledge of Maintenance Management System (Work Orders, Preventive/Corrective/Predictive Maintenance).

• Proficient in computer use, especially with the Microsoft Office suite.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English (spoken and written). Arabic is a plus.

• Motivated, team-oriented, able to work in a culturally diverse environment, and eager to learn.

Working Conditions:

• Remote site with hot and humid climate.

• Long working hours and vibrating platforms.

• Different shift schedules. Available on call.

• دعم بدء وإيقاف الأنظمة وفقًا لتوجيهات المشرفين.

• المساعدة في ضغط وتفريغ المعدات والأنابيب عند الحاجة.

• التحقق بانتظام من الضغط، فرق الضغط، درجات الحرارة، ومستويات القياس، والإبلاغ عن أي مخالفات للمشرف في غرفة التحكم (CRO).

• اتباع تعليمات مشرفين أو مشغل غرفة التحكم للحفاظ على العمليات المستقرة للمصنع ودعم تحسين الإنتاج.

• فهم أساسي لرسومات PFD و P&ID، ومصفوفة الأسباب والآثار، وفلسفة اكتشاف الحريق والغاز.

• معرفة أساسية بنظام إدارة الصيانة (أوامر العمل، الصيانة الوقائية/التصحيحية/التنبؤية).

• إجادة استخدام الكمبيوتر، مع معرفة جيدة باستخدام مجموعة Microsoft Office.
