Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician at Al Haddad International Motors Bahrain, located in Capital Governorate, Bahrain. The technician will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance, oil changes, automotive repairs, suspension work, and general maintenance and repair tasks.
Qualifications:
- Vehicle Maintenance, Oil Changes, and Maintenance & Repair skills.
- Experience in Automotive Repair and Suspension work.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications or training in automotive technology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the automotive industry.
Light Commercial Vehicle Service Advisor
Responsibilities:
- Advise customers regarding necessary service for routine maintenance.
- Capable of initial diagnosis by questioning the customer or carrying out a visual inspection or road test.
- Confer with customers regarding inspection results, recommend corrective procedures, and prepare work orders for required repairs.
- Write a brief description of the customer's concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem.
- Explain the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
- Handle customer complaints.
- Schedule service appointments.
- Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain vehicle information.
- Refer to service history, inspect the vehicle, and recommend additional service.
- Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
- Check on the progress of repair throughout the day. Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explain cost and time requirements in detail, and obtain proper authorization before performing any additional repairs.
- Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed and that additional work and authorization are noted. Close repair orders as appropriate.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
- Handle telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
- Inspect all vehicles for bodywork, inform the customer if work is needed, and provide an estimate for bodywork.
- Four years of previous experience with light vehicles & vans, but commercial vehicle experience is an advantage.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Perform other tasks as assigned
