Position Title: Section Editor - The Open Pain Journal (Special Issues)
Bentham Science Publishers is looking for an experienced Section Editor to join the editorial team for "The Open Pain Journal." As a Section Editor, you will play a pivotal role in developing and curating special issues on topics relevant to your area of expertise, inviting high-impact authors, and overseeing the publication of high-quality research and review articles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive proposal for special issues, showcasing their significance and informing prospective contributors.
- Invite renowned scholarly authors with high h-index scores, preferably from technologically advanced countries, to contribute articles to the special issue.
- Ensure contributing authors agree to publish under Open Access and cover Article Processing Charges (APC).
- Oversee manuscript submissions for alignment with the special issue scope and journal requirements.
- Utilize an honorarium to promote the special issue within the scientific community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ph.D. in a related field.
- A valid Scopus ID.
- Prior experience in publishing guest-edited thematic issues in peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong network of scholarly authors willing to contribute to the special issue.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with the scientific publication and peer review process.
