About the Role
Please note that this role requires relocation to the United States. Deutsche Bahn has been designing, engineering, constructing, testing, and commissioning innovative and integrated multi-modal transportation systems for over 180 years. Since 2017, DB E.C.O North America Inc. has been part of that team, bringing DB’s global experience and knowledge to the North American marketplace. Our clients are passenger and freight railway companies, as well as railway transportation agencies, seeking to improve their organizational performance and modernize their product and service portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, challenge, and implement rail vehicle procurement strategies and initiatives.
- Support and advise clients throughout the rolling stock procurement process, from preparation to implementation.
- Review procurement documents and provide subject matter expertise to clients.
- Lead and/or support work packages related to rolling stock procurement and other rail-related topics.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships internally and externally.
- Create visuals that explain complex technical issues for a non-technical audience.
- Manage risks and opportunities.
- Mentor and coach junior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of in-depth experience in rolling stock procurement (strategy and implementation).
- At least 5 years of experience in vehicle engineering and design of high-speed and conventional intercity passenger rail vehicles.
- Experienced with all stages of the rolling stock procurement process, including:
- Drafting/reviewing technical requirements and procurement documents.
- Bid evaluation (financial and technical), selection, and supplier negotiations.
- Performing/supervising design reviews, testing, and commissioning.
- Planning/executing supplier development.
- Contract and warranty management.
Knowledge of:
Best practices and international benchmarks in rolling procurement.
Regulatory and “Buy America” requirements and compliance.
Infrastructure topics at the interface to rolling stock (track & systems, stations, digital/passenger information systems).
Rolling stock maintenance.
Strategy consulting experience or similar is preferred.
Capable of navigating complex topics in a high-profile stakeholder environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication and public presentation skills.
Business-oriented mindset with mature management of client relationships.
Team player with a resilient, flexible, independent, and well-structured working approach.
Salary
We offer an annual gross salary between $160,000 - $200,000 for full-time employment, depending on professional qualifications and experience.

- إدارة المخاطر والفرص.
- توجيه وتدريب الموظفين المبتدئين.
المؤهلات
- درجة بكاليوس في الهندسة أو الاقتصاد أو المالية أو مجال ذي صلة.
- خبرة لا تقل عن 10 سنوات في شراء العربات (استراتيجية وتنفيذ).
- خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في هندسة وتصميم عربات السكك الحديدية السريعة والعادية.
- خبرة في جميع مراحل عملية شراء العربات، بما في ذلك:
- صياغة / مراجعة المتطلبات الفنية ومشاريع مستندات الشراء.
- تقييم العطاءات (مالية وتقنية) ، والاختيار ، والتفاوض مع الموردين.
- إجراء / الإشراف على مراجعات التصميم، والاختبارات، والتكليف.
- التخطيط / تنفيذ تطوير الموردين.
- إدارة العقود والضمانات.
المعرفة بـ:
أفضل الممارسات والمعايير الدولية في شراء العربات.
المتطلبات التنظيمية ومتطلبات "اشترِ أمريكا" والامتثال.
موضوعات البنية التحتية عند تقاطعها مع العربات (المسار والأنظمة، المحطات، نظم المعلومات الرقمية / الركاب).
صيانة العربات.
يُفضل أن يكون لديك خبرة في استشارات الاستراتيجيات أو ما شابه.
القدرة على التنقل في المواضيع المعقدة في بيئة أصحاب المصلحة الرفيعة.
مهارات اتصال شفهية وكتابية ممتازة ومهارات تقديم عامة.
عقلية تجارية مع إدارة ناضجة لعلاقات العملاء.
