Generator Technician
Key Responsibilities:
-
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on marine diesel generators
-
Conduct routine preventative maintenance including oil changes, coolant service, filter replacements, and load testing
-
Inspect and repair generator control panels, wiring, sensors, and electrical components
-
Service and maintain fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems for marine generators
-
Perform onboard assessments on vessels to identify generator performance issues
-
Install and commission new marine generators and related electrical equipment
-
Conduct sea-trials and ensure generators operate safely under load
-
Maintain accurate service reports, logs, and documentation of all work performed
-
Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations and industry standards
-
Communicate effectively with boat owners, captains, and service managers regarding repairs and recommendations
-
Respond to emergency service calls and perform onboard repairs as needed
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
-
5+ years of experience as a generator, diesel, or industrial equipment technician
-
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, engines, and power generation equipment
-
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
-
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions

التواصل الفعال مع مالكي القوارب والقادة ومديري الخدمة بخصوص الإصلاحات والتوصيات.

الاستجابة لطلبات الخدمة الطارئة وأداء الإصلاحات على متن السفن عند الحاجة.
المؤهلات:
-
شهادة الثانوية العامة أو ما يعادلها؛ يفضل الشهادات التقنية المتخصصة.
-
خبرة 5 سنوات أو أكثر كفني مولدات، أو ديزل، أو معدات صناعية.
-
معرفة قوية بالأنظمة الكهربائية والمحركات ومعدات توليد الطاقة.
-
القدرة على قراءة مخططات الأسلاك، والرسومات التخطيطية، وكتيبات الخدمة.
-
رخصة قيادة سارية وسجل قيادة نظيف.
-
القدرة على رفع أوزان تصل إلى 50 رطلاً والعمل في ظروف جوية مختلفة.
