Journeyman Technician

About the Position

Our team is looking for a Journeyman Technician to join us in Bahrain. This role will support the sustainment and modernization of various systems, including the Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS), Integration Shipboard Networking System (ISNS), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Networks, and more.

The successful candidate will work closely with both government and civilian management teams in the area to coordinate tasking, ship visits, and priorities related to SPAWAR-fielded tactical networks. This role will require you to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Key Responsibilities

System Installations & Support: Perform system installations, upgrades, distance support, and configuration management enforcement. Provide support for Casualty Report (CASREP) as needed to maintain readiness of servers, networking devices, workstations, storage devices, and other peripheral equipment.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis when issues are encountered and recommend permanent configuration changes to shipboard networks.
Collaboration & Coordination: Coordinate with StratasCorp Technician Dispatcher, shipboard crews, external contractors, and vendors to troubleshoot intra-system issues and assist with system integration and design.
Customer Interaction: Direct and guide customers in the proper approach to maintaining shipboard networks and related equipment.
Administrative Tasks: Attend technical meetings, report status and progress, and prepare and submit data for reports and data calls.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must hold a current IAT II or higher security certification per DoD 8570.01M, and be able to obtain the appropriate Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire.
Must have 5+ years of progressive IT experience in an enterprise-scale environment.
Basic knowledge of CANES; additional experience in one or more of the following is preferred: ADNS, CENTRIXS, ISNS, SCI networks, Windows Server administration, and Cisco networking device administration.

IT Technician 2

Overview of Responsibilities

Our team is currently seeking an IT Technician 2 with proven experience in providing general infrastructure support. This includes responding to and updating trouble calls using REMEDY, performing break-fix troubleshooting and analyzing problems, and carrying out repair activities to restore equipment, systems, or networks to normal operational status.

Key Responsibilities

Installations & Upgrades: Perform or assist in the installation and lifecycle upgrades for shipboard ADP IT networks and equipment.
Training: Provide on-board training for crew members as needed on LAN and IT equipment operation.
Daily Coordination: Interface and coordinate daily activities with customer representatives, shipboard personnel, and other contractors providing specialized LAN or network communications support.
Reporting: Prepare and provide daily work reports to ensure proper communication and tracking of activities.
Ad Hoc Queries: Respond to queries regarding data and network configuration, and provide inventory reports as needed.

The Role:

Our team in Wahiawa, HI has an immediate need for a Senior Windows System Administrator/Exchange Administrator with demonstrated experience in setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space. The position requires interaction with users, evaluating vendor products, and submitting recommendations to purchase hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide services for Exchange support and troubleshoot for thousands of users on more than 100 MSC vessels and for multiple MSC NOCs.
Implement Global Address List (GAL) synchronization between forests using Microsoft MIM.
Write and submit Change Requests (CRQs) for changes in procedures for approval by Information Assurance (IA).
Develop Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation regarding security practices and operational procedures.
Create and implement guidelines for accreditations and Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspections (CCORI).
Assist in the creation and implementation of disaster recovery, business continuity, and failover/cutover procedures.

Knowledge Manager

Overview of the Position

We are seeking a Knowledge Manager for our team based in Chesapeake, VA. This role will be responsible for promoting the effective use of the project’s knowledge base by creating and managing guidelines for content capture, storage, and dissemination. The Knowledge Manager will define the knowledge management (KM) strategy for the project and focus on developing, auditing, and maintaining high-quality content for the team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop KM Strategy: Define a comprehensive knowledge management (KM) strategy for the project, optimizing people, processes, and tools supporting shipboard networks.
Roadmap Strategy: Develop a roadmap for future KM improvements that builds on industry best practices and leverages available tools and processes.
Team Collaboration: Work with a small team responsible for the implementation and oversight of the KM strategy.
Cross-Organizational Collaboration: Collaborate effectively across the organization and with external stakeholders to develop and support Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), processes, meetings, and tools that facilitate and enhance information sharing.
Monitor KM Content Usage: Create and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure adoption and usage of KM content, and provide regular reports on the benefits, outcomes, and areas for improvement in KM.
