Seeking Digital Sales Leader for APM Solutions in MENAT & SSA Regions

Job Description Summary

The APM MENAT and SSA Digital Sales and Business Development Manager will report to the APM Global Sales Leader and drive growth in APM and Digital Services within the region, collaborating with the Grid Automation Sales Director and regional sales teams. This role focuses on pipeline development, achieving sales targets, and deploying the APM Go-to-Market strategy, supported by the APM central team for expertise, demonstrations, and tendering.

APM is a growing business within Grid Solutions, enabling utilities and grid operators to transition from time-based to condition-based maintenance through digital solutions. The portfolio includes an Enterprise APM platform, Digital Field Inspection, Online Monitoring, Diagnostic Sensors, and telecom solutions. Backed by a global team spanning Sales, R&D, Product, and Operations, GE Grid Solutions leads this field with extensive global project experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Achieve the sales target and business development growth for Asset Performance Management and digital solutions within the organization.
Develop business opportunities and conduct significant campaigns to win Digital Services focused on the Asset Performance Management (APM) business.
Build a go-to-market strategy for an enterprise solution, including other GE products and solutions.
Promote and develop APM business with the utilities and industrial customers of the region.
Leverage GE Grid Solutions experience/capabilities to increase the Digital Services pipeline.
Engage early on all grid key deals to promote proactively Digital Services.
Negotiate and close very complex and high-value deals in alignment with direct sales staff.
Communicate, educate, and enable the regional sales team on sales practices and processes.
Identify and grow the digital APM opportunities by combining the current GE portfolio.
Establish commercial contracts and agreements with customers to support Service agreements delivery, leveraging the global templates.
Lead proposal teams to develop innovative and creative solutions to benefit the business and customers.
Develop customer-centric solutions to resolve customer challenges and build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
Utilize current market data to prepare regional strategies and marketing campaign initiatives and promote brand awareness.
Ensure regulatory compliance in all activities.

Required Qualifications

More than 10 years of SW/electrical expertise & experience in business.
More than 10 years of experience in sales and business development in the MENAT and SSA region.
More than 10 years of experience in Grid Automation, Digital, and Grid Services business.
Experience in a similar position with a network already in this sector (grid/digital/software solutions).
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an engineering background is an advantage.
Proficiency in English is mandatory; other language skills are a plus.

As a Winder, you will be at the forefront of this transformation, playing a critical role in the repair and maintenance of large generators in industrial and utility power plants.

What You’ll Do:

As a Winder, you will:

Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly of generator rotors, ensuring high quality and timely execution (including removal and installation of coupling, fans, retaining rings, blower hubs, wedges, and blocking)
Carry out major and minor repairs on Generator Stators, including end winding repairs, full stator rewinds, wedging, applying chemicals, RTD connections, and high voltage bushing replacement
Execute tasks with minimal supervision using work procedures, drawings, or work orders
Perform brazing using torch, carbon, or induction methods
Conduct electrical tests and inspections
Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues to ensure operational efficiency

What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications):

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with a two-year technical or trade school degree
Significant experience in conducting and performing large generator repairs, including stator rewinds, stator re-wedging, high voltage bushing replacement, end winding repairs, and generator rotor repairs in industrial or utility power plants
Experience in disassembling and reassembling mechanical components on large generators
Experience in conducting testing and inspections of generators over 80 Megawatts
Proficiency in English

Eligibility Requirements:

Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Willingness to travel 100% of the time to customer sites domestically and internationally
Willingness to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear-fueled facility
Ability to work overtime and weekend shifts
Must pass drug and background checks

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Steam Turbine Field Engineer (TFA II) to support the installation, maintenance, and warranty work for industrial power generation equipment, primarily Steam Turbines and some Gas Turbines. This role involves traveling to customer sites and providing technical support while adhering to safety and environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate Steam Turbine site activities.
Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of systems and equipment.
Respond to emergency repairs and provide troubleshooting for troublesome equipment.
Offer technical instruction to customer representatives regarding system operation and maintenance.
Prepare technical reports, time sheets, expense sheets, and job status reports.
Mentor and train other Field Engineers and team members.
Ensure the work is executed according to GE safety standards.
Troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance for equipment.
Supervise third-party activities such as measuring and dimensional checks.
Perform aftermarket upgrades and ensure parts are shipped to the site.
Extensive travel to various projects and assignments.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Technical/University degree or a High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in Field Services.
5+ years of experience in power generation equipment maintenance.
Successful completion of required TFA II training programs.
Solid understanding of Steam Turbine operation and controlling parameters.
Strong competence in reading electrical/mechanical flow diagrams and using alignment and thermal growth equipment.
English proficiency required.

Experience with Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipment.
Extensive Field Engineering Services experience.
Pipe fitting and tubing experience.
Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
