Main Objective

Airfield Infrastructure Compliance Officer

Job Purpose

Supports the HADCC with the oversight, inspection, and auditing program to ensure compliance with local and international regulations for Aerodrome Certification.

Key Accountabilities

• Point of contact with the HADCC to ensure BIA Airfield infrastructure adheres to ICAO standards and BCAA CAR001 regulations fulfilling all BCAA Aerodrome Certification requirements.

• Establish a system for documenting and reporting non-conformities or areas of concern to HADCC, ensuring immediate action is taken to address issues.

• Oversee management of BCAA audit findings and facilitate implementation of corrective action plans.

• Oversee the management of Aerodrome Certification audits, including preparation and administration of audit schedules.

• Serve as a primary coordinator with BCAA, D&T/FM, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth operations during planned closures at the movement area.

• Conduct daily inspections of airside infrastructure, generate reports for HADCC addressing pavement conditions, lighting, and other observations.

• Ensure airside works comply with work permit requirements, SOPs, and regulations.

• Support HADCC with reviewing maintenance programs developed by D&T/FM and contractors.

• Develop and deliver monthly reports to HADCC regarding infrastructure findings and recommendations.

• Participate in investigating airfield infrastructure non-conformances to establish root causes and lessons learned.

• Monitor airside safety practices and conduct investigations into reported accidents and incidents.

• Ensure the handover and takeover of airside areas meet infrastructure standards and compliances.

• Ensure VDGS configuration meets safety and operational requirements.

• Review and update the Aircraft Allowance Chart in line with operational, safety, and regulatory needs.

• Assist with the review and update of the Aerodrome Manual and Safety Management System Manual for BCAA compliance.

• Support Specialist Safety Training in regulatory compliance training for Airside Operations personnel.

• Assist in the preparation of reports and assist with the change management and risk assessment process.

• Maintain up-to-date company library for regulations and monitor the BCAA website for updates.

Qualifications & Experience

• University degree in civil engineering, or equivalent qualification.

 Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer

Main Objectives
To carry out tasks as designated by the Aircraft Lic Maintenance Technician or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to an acceptable standard of workmanship and in accordance with aircraft approved documents. To support Gulf Air operations at any network station as required in case of AOG recovery or as necessary.

Main Duties

1. Work with, and under the direction of, the designated A/C Engineers/Lic Technicians to carry out routine and non-routine tasks.

2. Replace components on Company or other operators' aircraft and engines as required.

3. Strictly adhere to company staff rules and regulations.

4. Strictly adhere to company safety rules and regulations and wear proper uniform and safety shoes while on duty.

5. Adhere to and comply with aircraft-approved maintenance documents and instructions when performing any routine or non-routine tasks. Familiarize yourself with all the safety-related precautions to avoid personal injuries or damages to aircraft structures and systems.

6. Ensure all equipment and tools used for aircraft maintenance are in serviceable and safe condition. Report any faulty equipment or tools to Engineer or Duty Manager. Unserviceable tools/equipment must be isolated and tagged accordingly.

7. Service equipment and aircraft special tools as necessary to maintain them in serviceable, safe, and clean condition.

8. Ensure that all tools used for routine and non-routine tasks are registered and removed upon task completion.

9. After completing routine or non-routine tasks, ensure the work area is tidy and free from any loose articles.

10. Assist in positioning and clearing equipment to carry out maintenance tasks on aircraft.

11. Ensure that all tools and equipment used are returned to their proper locations.

12. Perform headset duties during engine ground runs and aircraft towing according to company TIM procedures.

13. Adhere to Airside Safety Rules and Regulations concerning driving and work area cleanliness.

14. Purchase an approved tool kit containing appropriate tools to perform duties on the company and third-party fleets.

15. Perform the required duties in accordance with AME and Duty Manager instructions and aircraft-approved documentation procedures.

16. Maintain a high level of self-discipline and respect superior instructions.

17. Become familiar with Gulf Air Information System AMOS and its basic transactions related to this work scope.

Experience
It will be advantageous to have 3 to 5 years of working experience as an A/C technician and/or general experience in a similar field. An apprenticeship with a reputable Aircraft Maintenance Organization shall be an additional advantage.

Qualifications

• Must be able to write, read, and understand English to be able to comprehend aircraft-approved documentation procedures while performing routine and non-routine tasks on the company fleet during maintenance input.

• It will be an advantage to have passed Basic Aircraft License Modules or hold a valid EASA Basic Aircraft License or equivalent, recognized by BCAA and company Technical Quality Assurance.

5. الالتزام بوثائق الصيانة المعتمدة للطائرات والتعليمات عند أداء أي مهام روتينية وغير روتينية، والتعرف على جميع احتياطات السلامة لتجنب الإصابات الشخصية أو الأضرار لهياكل وأنظمة الطائرات.

6. التأكد من أن جميع المعدات والأدوات المستخدمة في صيانة الطائرات في حالة صالحة وآمنة. الإبلاغ عن أي معدات أو أدوات معطلة للمهندس أو المدير المناوب. يجب عزل الأدوات / المعدات غير الصالحة وتسمية بطاقة "غير صالحة".

7. صيانة المعدات والأدوات الخاصة بالطائرات حسب الحاجة للحفاظ عليها في حالة صالحة وآمنة ونظيفة.

8. التأكد من تسجيل جميع الأدوات المستخدمة في المهام الروتينية وغير الروتينية والتأكد من إزالتها عند إتمام المهمة.
