Data Engineer

Join Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine as a Data Engineer Consultant within the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) department. This role is crucial in strengthening our data capabilities and supporting our sustainability program. You will work closely with the Data Architect to organize data sets, build algorithms for analysis, and construct an integrated data system. If you have expertise in Power BI, QuickBase, and data engineering, this is your chance to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Organization: Structure data sets for accessibility and usability, ensuring quality and integrity.
• Algorithm Development: Implement algorithms to extract insights and support decision-making.
• Integrated Data Systems: Build and manage an integrated system that consolidates various data sources.

• Infrastructure Maintenance & Scalability: Ensure data reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Automation of Processes: Develop scripts to streamline workflows and enhance data processing.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Data Architect and multiple departments to align engineering efforts with sustainability goals.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in manufacturing or technology environments.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Power BI (data visualization & reporting).
  • QuickBase (project management & collaboration).
  • Python, R, or SQL for data processing.
  • ETL processes & data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and data storage solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of data integration technologies.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
