Vacant Positions:

Port Engineer

Details

  • Manages an online database for all jobs and validates work requests.
  • Assigns preliminary estimates and plans prioritized work packages within budget and time constraints.
  • Reviews work specifications, coordinates repair schedules, and oversees repairs.
  • Meets daily with the ship’s crew, department heads, and commanding officer.
  • Recommends suggestions to improve the accuracy of the Ship’s Force information.
  • Provides risk assessment and prioritization to the vessel’s commanding officer.


  • Attends weekly status meetings and ship maintenance events to support planning and recommendations.
  • Performs weekly reviews and ship checks, discussing assessments and planned requirements.
  • Reviews the entire maintenance process and provides an annual prioritized maintenance list.
  • Develops work package recommendations within funding controls and provides business case analyses.

Travel

  • Regular travel to Fleet Concentration Support areas, including Middle East Ports.
  • Frequent underway time for sea trials, testing, inspections, and other events.
  • Attendance at deployments, sea trials, and mid-deployment ship checks.
