EMEAI Payroll Specialist
Job Description
In this role, you will work with other payroll specialists supporting multi-country payroll activities, ensuring all data is timely and accurately provided to the outsourced vendor. This position can be remote with occasional travel to our offices in Wokingham, Reading (once every 2-3 months). This position is ideal for someone who has some exposure to international payroll and someone looking to grow and develop. Responsibilities
- Responsible for sending payroll-related data to the local payroll bureaus for payroll processing, adhering to the payroll calendar deadlines.
- Ensure the vendors make accurate and timely preparation of earnings statements and payment of wages for the employees in the countries assigned.
- Ensure that Employees' Net Pay payments are made on time.
- Perform peer review and back-up EMEAI Payroll team members
- Act as the first point of escalation for general payroll-related questions and be responsible for operation issue resolution or escalation for the EMEAI Payroll Department.
- Respond to all internal and external inquiries on payroll-related issues, social insurance, and taxation.
- Ensure timely responses for all payroll queries and, where required, follow up with vendors or escalate to EMEAI Payroll Operation Lead.
- Responsible for payroll audits, internal and external agencies in collaboration with the correct stakeholders.
- Responsible for bringing any identified payroll or compliance issues to the immediate attention of the EMEAI Payroll Operation Team Lead.
- Preparation and submission of year-end reporting and any other Pay As You Earn and Benefit In Kind (BIK) requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, business administration, human resources, or relevant work experience.
- Payroll certifications preferred.
- Additional European Language advantageous – especially Polish.
- CPA, BF, or comparable.
- Experience of multi-country-related experience with knowledge of all aspects of payroll processes and related systems, including garnishments, benefits, taxes, Social Security, local legislation, time & attendance collection preferred.
- Payroll transition and implementation experience.
- Project management or system implementation experience preferred.

Regulatory Specialist EMEAI – Packaging Coatings
Job Description
For our packaging coatings division, we are actively looking for a Regulatory Specialist (EMEAI). This role can be based at any EMEAI Sherwin-Williams site and will report to the Regulatory Affairs Manager EMEAI.
Responsibilities
Main Tasks:
- Ensure food contact safety and compliance of coatings developed and commercialized by Sherwin-Williams Packaging team.
- Carry out food contact safety assessments.
- Support technical teams in product developments and coordinate compliance testing.
- Carry out food contact regulatory evaluation of Sherwin formulas. Write food contact and other regulatory statements and declarations.
- Assist in obtaining food contact approvals. This can include work with external testing institutes, academics, and authorities.
- Represent Sherwin in various European industry associations.
- Provide customer support, especially in cases of regulatory issues, to solve them.
- Act as an internal advisor on questions related to Food Contact, REACH, and CLP.
- Collaborate with the Product Stewardship group for chemical inventories and product classifications.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a Regulatory or R&D role.
- Chemistry Degree.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Flexibility to travel.

Regional Controls Engineer
Job Description
This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of control system projects from their initial planning and conceptual stage through design, implementation, successful start-up, and acceptance by operating management. The design, implementation, and startup of these control systems involve the application of advanced computer/PLC/HMI programming, electrical controls knowledge, and process engineering skills. This position also acts as an in-house consultant to all assigned sites with respect to control system programming, troubleshooting, software, and hardware. Proficiency in PLC hardware/software design and system integration is required. There is also the requirement to ensure ongoing maintenance and obsolescence management at the site level to manage the region's risk profile for control systems.
Responsibilities
- Direct responsibility with limited guidance to perform the following tasks:
- Design and implement new control systems for capital projects.
- PLC programming and application development under the direction of a Senior Control Engineer.
- Enhance and support existing control systems. 24x7 support may be required for critical situations.
- Develop design specifications and user documentation for control system capital projects.
- Coordinate the inputs of the project team (1-6 people from various departments).
- Budget responsibility on assigned projects (minor to $1.0M).
- Specify equipment, obtain cost estimates, generate a bill of materials, and expedite purchasing and fabrication of electrical controls equipment in line with SW preferred equipment.
- Lead contractors on project assignments through design and installation.
- Support control system commissioning through site acceptance.
- Develop control system documentation and reference material for site operations and technical support personnel.
- Drive continuous improvement through enhancements to existing control software and hardware systems.
- Train and mentor various resources in controls/automation (interns/co-ops, external contractors, site engineers, instrument technicians).
- Provide technical support for root cause analysis related to control system issues and failures.
Qualifications
FORMAL EDUCATION:
- Required: BEng, BA, or BS in Engineering or related field.
- Preferred: BEng or BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Required: 7 years’ experience in controls engineering or related field. Ability to demonstrate roles with increasing responsibility.
- Preferred: Concurrently leads multiple significant project designs and executions; significant projects defined as values of $250k or greater.
- Knowledge of chemical batch manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of ISA S88 standard for batch control.
- Knowledge of applying cybersecurity solutions in an ICS environment.
- Lean Six Sigma experience or belt certification.
