Main Objectives
- Monitoring, planning, implementing, and coordinating the Safety Management System (SMS) and other safety-related programs to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, with a primary focus on aviation and operational/support departments.
- Directing the activities of personnel to ensure the proper application of safety measures and practices in accordance with regulations and authorities are adhered to and is a key player in safety promotion within the organization.
Main Duties
o Directly overseeing, monitoring, and taking responsibility for all aviation and ground safety matters and ensuring compliance in all areas of operations.
o Planning safe working practices and making necessary changes based on current safety legislation.
o Developing safe operational procedures based on safety assessments and gap analysis. o Performing regular safety monitoring inspections on all operational and support activities and programs.
o Compiling statistics on incidents, accidents, hazards, violations, and other safety-related assessments and data in order to meet in-depth BAS Safety Management System and Quality Management System.
o Conduct Investigation and documenting incidents, accidents, complaints, and personnel injuries and collect evidence. In addition to familiarizing with BAS ERP processes in order to understand the root cause and implement corrective action as required.
o Conducting, maintaining, and monitoring risk assessments, risk registers, and hazard identification registers. Undertaking risk assessments for incidents, accidents, near misses, violations, hazards, and changes in management. Identifying hazards and performing monthly hazard analysis with a controlled register to determine and implement best practices to reduce risks through regular review and assessment of activities.
o Collaborating and attending with BAC Aerodrome Safety, BAC Operations, and BAS departments (internal and external departments) for inspections and closure of reports.
o Liaising and collaborating with key stakeholders, including airport authorities, customer airlines, and regulatory bodies, on operational safety. Participating in safety audits and inspection with external stakeholders (airlines, Bac, etc.) to meet airline Ground Operation Manual and ensure compliance.
o Creating and updating safety monitoring checklists based on industry standards. Creating safety notices, alerts, and reminders based on incidents, accidents, precautions, and newly introduced safety procedures. Ensuring compliance and standardization of safety systems. Reporting on Safety Management System (SMS), human factors, fatigue, and environmental programs, including analysis. Reviewing safety documentation, such as manuals and policies, for currency. Overseeing the implementation of various safety programs, including SMS, human factors, and fatigue management to create a robust safety system and culture.
o Creating reports on all safety-related matters, including occurrences, violations, and safety performance indicators/targets.
o Monitoring and updating safety audits, inspections, monitoring programs, investigations, and ad hoc reviews on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify safety operational gaps and rectify the operational safety procedure to reduce reoccurrence.
o Delivering presentations to groups of employees and department heads on safety matters. o Conducting and monitoring safety surveys on various safety-related topics and providing analysis. Conducting induction training on safety for new employees. Ensuring effective and efficient handover of reports and safety data among team members.
o Organizing or participating in weekly/monthly safety meetings internally with team members and externally with airline representatives or stakeholders to ensure compliance with BAS SMS and QMS.
o Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement corrective actions and preventive measures based on investigation findings and recommendations to prevent any future shortfalls when it comes to airline IGOM and ensure a safe and secure working environment.
o Comply with Company's and airport authorities’ health, safety & security requirements.
o Carries out other similar or related duties as directed by the management.
Education:
- Minimum of University Diploma
Experience:
- 4 years’ experience in Aviation
Other Essential Requirements:
- Professional Certificates: NEBOSH, IOSH and/or equivalent
- Experience and knowledge in GSE Technicalities
- Experience or knowledge in aviation safety-related investigations
- Fluent in written & spoken English & Arabic language
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and other applications

تعليم:

- الخبرة والمعرفة في تقنيات GSE

- يجيد اللغتين الإنجليزية والعربية كتابةً وتحدثًا
