Junior Accountant

Job Description:

The Junior Accountant supports the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing routine accounting transactions, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting & Bookkeeping: Record day-to-day financial transactions, including journal entries; assist in accounts payable and receivable processing; ensure proper documentation and filing.
• Reconciliations: Perform bank, cash, and petty cash reconciliations; reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts; report discrepancies to senior finance staff.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with company accounting policies; assist with VAT entries, filings, and documentation; support audit requirements.
• Administrative & Support: Maintain accounting records in ERP/accounting systems; assist senior accountants with ad-hoc tasks; coordinate with internal departments for financial information.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 0–2 years of relevant experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel
