Senior Technical Sales T&D Specialist

Impact & Role Overview:

Responsible for activities and processes that help the sales organization achieve business objectives. Provide technical and solution support to the direct sales team across the GE Vernova - Electrification Software - Grid Software Portfolio - Transmission and Distribution Applications, from the GridOS Portfolio. Focused on Advanced Energy (AEMS) and Distribution Management Systems (ADMS). Promote the business benefits related to adoption of GridOS solutions primarily in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East Region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a trusted technical advisor on the Commercial Sales Team.

- Align capabilities to specific outcomes, create reference architectures, and calculate potential solution value.

- Strong understanding of power system operation — generation, transmission, and distribution fundamentals.

- Hands-on knowledge in SCADA protocols and functions; EMS, DMS, and WAMS knowledge advantageous.

- Knowledge of cloud and hybrid architectures.

- Make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks using technical expertise and internal/external data sources.

- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with moderate risk.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Power Systems, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field.

- Minimum 8 years experience in Transmission and Distribution Grid Applications within a utility or similar business.

- Knowledge level comparable to a Master’s degree or relevant experience.

- 5 years relevant experience in a customer-facing role (services or commercial sectors).

- AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure equivalent.

- Previous client-facing experience.

- Business-level Arabic language skills.

- Interest in AI applications in the grid sector.

Lead Project Manager

Desired Characteristics:

- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills; customer-focused and enthusiastic.

- Strong ability to influence and drive regional counterparts.

- Willingness and ability to travel >40% of the time.

- Ability to understand and improve complex processes in a cross-functional environment.

- Proven experience in EWA retrofitting projects, especially switchgear replacement and ICS modifications.

- Solid understanding of Contract Management and Project Planning.
