Accountant (GCC Nationals Preferred)

Job Summary:

The Accountant handles the association’s financial operations, including transactions, payroll, petty cash, budgets, and cash flow, while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with internal policies, VAT regulations, and applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain all financial transactions accurately using the association’s accounting system
• Maintain accurate accounting records, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Manage petty cash transactions and ensure proper documentation
• Prepare and process payroll, including tracking employees’ annual leave, deductions, and compliance with internal policies
• Maintain financial and payroll records in SharePoint or other record-keeping systems
• Monitor budgets, income, expenditures, and cash flow, and promptly escalate any potential overspending or financial risks
• Ensure all financial transactions are processed efficiently and accurately
• Assist in annual audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors
• Support financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for programs, projects, and events
• Ensure VAT compliance in Bahrain, including filing, record-keeping, and advising on association-related VAT matters

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel
• VAT compliance expertise in Bahrain, including filing, record-keeping, and advisory on association activities
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
• Demonstrates passion, with a positive and proactive attitude
• Experience in preparing financial statements in compliance with recognized accounting standards
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and reporting skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• CPA or equivalent certification

• مستوى عالٍ من السرية والنزاهة والمهنية.
• شغف وحماس مع موقف إيجابي واستباقي.
• خبرة في إعداد البيانات المالية وفق المعايير المحاسبية المعترف بها.
• مهارات تنظيمية وتحليلية وتقارير ممتازة.
• اهتمام عالي بالتفاصيل والدقة.
• شهادة محاسب قانوني معتمد (CPA) أو ما يعادلها.
