Role Overview:
Join the International Tax & Transaction Services (ITTS) practice as a Manager, advising clients on regional and international tax implications in line with relevant tax codes and jurisdictions. This advisory-focused role specializes in international tax matters such as permanent establishment, double taxation, cross-border treaties, tax structuring, corporate tax impact assessments, withholding tax, and other relevant issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the successful delivery of technically complex international tax engagements
- Ensure technical and practical excellence to maximize client service quality
- Manage leads and opportunities from other tax practice areas and the wider EY network
- Contribute to practice development through internal training, developing precedents, sharing know-how, participating in team and firm events, giving presentations, and producing expert articles
Tax - GCR - Senior Consultant - Bahrain
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, taxation, or related fields
- MBA, Masters, or related advanced degree; professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tax compliance, financial reporting, and ERP systems, ideally within a large professional services company
Additional Skills & Experience:
- Experience with multinational clients and working in multicultural environments
- Strong expertise in tax accounting and reporting, tax provisioning, tax reconciliations, and group consolidation tax workings under IAS 12, ASC 740, or similar standards
