Sr. Rigging Supervisor
Roles & Responsibilities
- Directly supervises the day-to-day activities of Maneuvering and Rigging Section inside and outside the Yard, particularly the rigging and transporting of materials, equipment, etc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive instruction from Section Head, Department Head regarding workload, requests, priorities etc.
- Supervise and coordinates activities of workers engaged in all rigging and lifting activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and method statements. Familiar with heavy lift plans and procedures.
- Distributes the equipment to staff according to priority work schedules and requirements of the other Sections.
- Assists with the set-up of Crane.
- Directs crane operators to move equipment to and from work areas.
- Arranges equipment and provides assistance during docking / undocking or mooring of vessels.
- Assist and determines the proper method of lifting equipment for each assigned project.
- Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the project.
- Ensures that Riggers are properly supplied with tools, equipment, and materials. Prevents the misuse of equipment, materials & tools.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow procedures. Competent in reading and understanding specifications, drawings and other discipline related project and engineering documentation.
- Specifies locations for movement of machinery using knowledge of various methods of sliding and lifting equipment.
- Directs workers engaged in splicing ropes and metal cables to form hoisting slings.
- Ensures that Graving Dock and Floating Docks are clear from all rigging equipment/s for docking / undocking operations.
- Initiates / issues maintenance/repair requests to responsible Section and follow up.
- Controls and instruct Riggers by using walkie-talkie.
- Assess/evaluates the Riggers daily check list to ensure safety and reliability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- يقوم بتوزيع المعدات على الموظفين وفقًا لجداول العمل ذات الأولوية ومتطلبات الأقسام الأخرى.
- يساعد في إعداد الرافعة.
- يوجه مشغلي الرافعات لنقل المعدات من وإلى مناطق العمل.
- يقوم بترتيب المعدات وتقديم المساعدة أثناء عملية إرساء السفن أو فكها أو ربطها.
- يقدم المساعدة ويحدد الطريقة المناسبة لرفع المعدات لكل مشروع يتم تكليفه به.
- القدرة على تحسين استخدام الموارد (القوى العاملة والمعدات والمواد) لضمان إنجاز المشروع بكفاءة وفي الوقت المناسب.
- يضمن تزويد عمال التركيب بالأدوات والمعدات والمواد اللازمة. ويمنع إساءة استخدام المعدات والمواد والأدوات.
- القدرة على قراءة الإجراءات وتفسيرها واتباعها. الكفاءة في قراءة وفهم المواصفات والرسومات وغيرها من وثائق المشاريع والهندسة ذات الصلة بالتخصص.
- يحدد مواقع نقل الآلات باستخدام معرفة الطرق المختلفة لانزلاق ورفع المعدات.
- يوجه العمال العاملين في وصل الحبال والكابلات المعدنية لتشكيل أحزمة الرفع.
- يضمن خلو حوض الرسو الجاف وأحواض السفن العائمة من جميع معدات التجهيز اللازمة لعمليات الرسو / فك الرسو.
- يقوم ببدء/إصدار طلبات الصيانة/الإصلاح إلى القسم المسؤول ومتابعتها.
- يتحكم في مشغلي المعدات ويوجههم باستخدام جهاز الاتصال اللاسلكي.
- تقييم قائمة التحقق اليومية الخاصة بعمال تركيب الرافعات لضمان السلامة والموثوقية.
- يقوم بمهام أخرى حسب التكليف.
