Associate - Banking
Requirements & Personal Attributes
- Qualified lawyer – must be admitted to practice in your home country/law society/Bar admitted (preferably English law qualified).
- Post qualification experience – 3 years ideal but will consider other appropriate candidates.
- Experience - at least 2 years’ experience of practicing within a banking and/or finance environment and have a strong transactional track record. Ideally, you will have experience of leading on tractions independently and the capacity to work with autonomy as well as part of a team.
- Experience in LMA based syndicated and bilateral lending transactions, secured and unsecured facilities, experience in providing legal and regulatory advice particular to financial institutions, project finance and trade finance.
- Language(s) - English (Arabic a plus but not essential).
- Proven ability to take on responsibility and manage files.
- Flexibility, positivity and an ability to work effectively in a close-knit team and office.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Dealing with a range of banking and finance matters of varying sizes and complexity including conventional credit work, trade finance, project finance, regulatory and Islamic finance.
- Drafting amongst, other things, facility agreements, security documents, legal opinions and memorandums of advice.
- Initiating, building and maintain effective client relationships and participating in wider business development activities.
- Corresponding with regulators.
- Willingness to work across a variety of banking and finance matters in Bahrain.

- محامٍ مؤهل – يجب أن يكون مرخصاً له بممارسة المهنة في بلده الأم/نقابة المحامين/محامٍ معتمد (ويفضل أن يكون مؤهلاً في القانون الإنجليزي).
- خبرة ما بعد التأهيل - 3 سنوات مثالية ولكن سيتم النظر في المرشحين المناسبين الآخرين.
- الخبرة: خبرة لا تقل عن سنتين في العمل ضمن بيئة مصرفية و/أو مالية، وسجل حافل بالإنجازات في مجال المعاملات. يُفضل أن يكون لديك خبرة في قيادة المشاريع بشكل مستقل، والقدرة على العمل باستقلالية وكجزء من فريق.
- خبرة في معاملات الإقراض المشترك والثنائي القائمة على اتفاقية القروض، والتسهيلات المضمونة وغير المضمونة، وخبرة في تقديم المشورة القانونية والتنظيمية الخاصة بالمؤسسات المالية، وتمويل المشاريع وتمويل التجارة.
- اللغة (اللغات) - الإنجليزية (العربية ميزة إضافية ولكنها ليست ضرورية).
- قدرة مثبتة على تحمل المسؤولية وإدارة الملفات.
- المرونة والإيجابية والقدرة على العمل بفعالية ضمن فريق متماسك وفي بيئة مكتبية.
