Senior Project Manager 

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is a key member of the Civil Infrastructure business, providing technical leadership and management of projects and teams. The SPM collaborates with Project Managers, Project Directors, and the Civil Infrastructure Director for MEA to ensure successful design delivery and team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to deliver design work in line with budgets, quality standards, and timelines.

• Take full responsibility for project delivery, integrating project management across the project lifecycle.

• Identify and leverage opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

• Manage contracts proactively, addressing changes as needed.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, seeking opportunities for repeat business and new projects.

• Act as a mentor and leader for junior staff.

• Utilize AECOM systems and processes effectively.

• Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and networking.

• Champion AECOM safety initiatives and promote “safety for life” principles.

• Manage contracts, service agreements, partnerships, submissions, and funding arrangements.

• Coordinate with discipline leaders across the organization to ensure integrated project delivery.

• Lead client briefings, planning sessions, and design workshops, presenting project stages and outputs.

Requirements

• Proven technical leadership in civil infrastructure projects, including multidisciplinary project delivery.

• Broad experience in infrastructure development, preferably in the Middle East.

• Experience in managing at least 3 major projects.

• Strong team management and mentoring skills.

• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.

• Competence in project financial management and resource coordination.

• Ability to lead business development initiatives and proposals.
