End User Hardware Service Lead – Bahrain

About the Role:

Join Leidos in supporting the U.S. Navy’s PC Refresh Initiative and enhancing warfighter capabilities with advanced IT solutions. Based in Manama, Bahrain, you will play a key role in the End User Hardware as a Service (EUHWaaS) task order under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the modernization of technology systems that support critical Navy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the deployment of new hardware devices (desktops, laptops, peripherals) including system imaging, software installation, configuration, and data migration.

• Configure systems according to baseline image specifications and government security policies.

• Track and manage hardware inventory throughout the refresh lifecycle.

• Maintain detailed records of the refresh process, including system configurations, user data migration, and inventory tracking.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the refresh process to minimize end-user downtime.

• Train junior IT Specialists on new systems and software workflows.

• Coordinate with on-site end-user points of contact (POCs) to execute system replacements with minimal disruption.

• Assist in overall management of the EUHWaaS task, ensuring project timelines and milestones are met.

• Perform pre- and post-deployment testing to ensure compliance with operational and security standards.

• Ensure refresh activities meet Service Level Requirements (SLR).

ISP/OSP Fiber Technician – Bahrain

About the Role:

Join the Defense Group of Leidos in supporting the OCONUS Piers portion of the NGEN-R SMIT contract in Bahrain. This role is critical in maintaining Navy fiber optic connectivity for vessels docking at regional ports, ensuring seamless operations and contributing to the modernization of shore-based networks under the ONE-Net enterprise network initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide connect/disconnect services to vessels arriving or departing assigned piers.

• Operate tools and protective equipment to repair and maintain Navy Umbilical Cable Assemblies (UCAs).

• Conduct testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of UCA fiber optic cables.

• Track vessel arrivals/departures and respond within required service targets.

• Document daily activities using approved ticketing/reporting systems.

• Update UCA status in regional trackers and assist with SOP development.

• Perform weekly vulnerability and risk score reports on classified and unclassified networks.

• Conduct IAVM scans using ACAS.

• Travel regionally to repair UCA cables as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED.

• U.S. Citizen with active Secret Clearance.

• 5–10 years’ IT experience.

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CCNA, GSEC, etc.).

• Cisco CCNA Certification.

• BICSI Installer I Certification.

• Navy Shipboard Fiber Optic Certification.

• Completion of ACAS Operator and Supervisor Course.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting pier-side connect/disconnect services using UCA or WPCS solutions.

• Knowledge of ISP/OSP fiber cabling and troubleshooting point-to-point connections.

• Experience with computer hardware and troubleshooting.

• Additional fiber cabling certifications: BICSI, ETA, FOI, or FOT.
