Government Relations Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Manage LMRA processes including new visas, renewals, and cancellations.

• Coordinate CPR issuance/renewals and address certificates with relevant authorities.

• Handle GOSI registrations, terminations, salary updates, and injury reports.

• Oversee driving license applications and renewals with MOI and relevant government authorities.

• Administer Tamkeen portal activities and program applications.

• Liaise with MOH regarding healthcare fee exemptions.

• Update expat passport records and manage all related documentation.

• Coordinate CR modifications with MOIC as per management directives.

• Manage environmental documentation with the Supreme Council for Environment.

• Arrange international visas and flight bookings for staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.

• PRO valid license.

• 3–4 years of experience in a similar role in Bahrain.

• Strong knowledge of government procedures and systems (LMRA, GOSI, Tamkeen, etc.).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

• Ensure proper stacking and storage to prevent damage and maintain safety.

• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet operational targets.

• Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.

• Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Assist in general warehouse duties when required.

Responsible For

• Supervise and coordinate activities of mechanics, technicians, and personnel involved in maintenance activities for heavy equipment and fixed plant.

• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

• Ensure the highest standards of safety are maintained in all maintenance activities and workplaces.

• Maintain all equipment in a safe and proper manner to protect personnel and prevent damage or injury.

• Audit and train maintenance workers, subcontractors, and suppliers on safety procedures, including shop and warehouse housekeeping.

• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance technical skills and promote safe work practices.

• Conduct daily inspections of the workplace to ensure cleanliness and safety for maintenance personnel.

• Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance of the UFD loader to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Coordinate with furnace operators and production teams to ensure timely slag removal without disrupting operations.

• Maintain clear communication with control room and yard personnel for efficient workflow.

• Ensure proper documentation of slag quantities and disposal records.

• Identify and report any abnormalities in slag composition or equipment performance.

• Maintain cleanliness and safety in slag handling areas.

• Adhere strictly to PPE requirements and safety protocols, especially in high-temperature zones.
