Data Center Facility Manager

Key Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the build-out of facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations.

• Manage onsite shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work aligns with AWS practices and procedures.

• Hold primary responsibility for engineering systems availability.

• Conduct financial analysis and contribute to financial decision-making.

• Manage and develop engineering teams, providing technical and leadership expertise, ensuring high levels of performance.

Engineering, Facility Operations & Maintenance

• Support electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC systems, Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Transformers.

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, emergency generator, HVAC, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.

• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.

• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.

• Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
