Roles & Responsibilities
1. Verification & Inspection
-
Inspect parcels to ensure they are properly packed by the shipper and comply with UN specifications.

Verify that inner and outer packaging, use of overpacks, closures, and cushioning meet IATA DGR requirements.

Confirm parcels are in suitable condition for air transport.
-
Ensure compliance with operator and country-specific variations.
2. Labeling & Marking
-
Apply or verify correct DG hazard labels, handling marks, arrows, and UN numbers on parcels.
-
Ensure labels are durable, legible, and correctly sized/positioned according to IATA standards.
-
Confirm overpacks are marked with “OVERPACK” and relevant UN numbers if applicable.
-
Remove or cover irrelevant or outdated labels on reused parcels.
3. Documentation
-
Prepare and verify Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD), ensuring all details (UN number, proper shipping name, class, packing group, quantity, etc.) are accurate.

Review MSDS for each material and ensure consistency.
-
Ensure all shipping documents are complete, signed, and attached before accepting the shipment.
-
Maintain records of DG documents and compliance checklists for audit purposes.
4. Coordination & Support
-
Coordinate with airlines, freight agents, warehouse teams, and DG packers to resolve discrepancies or missing details.

Support DG supervisor during acceptance checks and inspection visits.
-
Communicate promptly any non-compliance or safety concerns to management.
5. Safety & Compliance
-
Follow PPE and site HSE requirements at all times.
-
Report leakages, damages, or irregular packaging immediately.

Ensure no DG shipment proceeds without proper labeling, marking, and documentation.

Stay updated with latest IATA DGR regulations and operator instructions.
Candidate Profile / Required Qualifications

Practical knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations (IATA DGR).

Previous experience in DG documentation, labeling, or shipment acceptance.

Valid IATA DG certification preferred.

Strong attention to detail, safety-first attitude, and integrity.

3. الوثائق

إعداد والتحقق من إعلانات المواد الخطرة (DGD) والتأكد من دقة جميع التفاصيل (رقم الأمم المتحدة، الاسم الصحيح للشحن، الفئة، مجموعة التعبئة، الكمية، إلخ).

مراجعة MSDS لكل مادة والتأكد من اتساق البيانات.
-
التأكد من أن جميع مستندات الشحن مكتملة وموقعة ومرفقة قبل قبول الشحنة.
-
الاحتفاظ بسجلات الوثائق وقوائم التحقق للامتثال والتدقيق.
4. التنسيق والدعم
-
التنسيق مع شركات الطيران، ووكلاء الشحن، وفرق المستودعات، ومعبئي المواد الخطرة لحل أي اختلافات أو تفاصيل مفقودة.

دعم مشرف المواد الخطرة أثناء الفحوصات وزيارات التفتيش.
-
التواصل بسرعة مع الإدارة بشأن أي عدم امتثال أو مخاوف تتعلق بالسلامة.
5. السلامة والامتثال
-
اتباع متطلبات PPE ومتطلبات HSE في جميع الأوقات.
-
الإبلاغ فوراً عن أي تسرب، ضرر، أو تعبئة غير منتظمة.
-
التأكد من عدم تقدم أي شحنة مواد خطرة بدون توسيم، تمييز، وتوثيق صحيح.
-
متابعة أحدث تعديلات IATA DGR وتعليمات المشغل.
