Pastry Sous Chef
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Baker and Pastry Chef to direct and oversee the pastry and baking functions of the kitchen, including menu development, inventory management, purchasing of supplies, and cost control. The ideal candidate will also test and develop new recipes.
Key Responsibilities

Create and prepare desserts, cakes, sweets, cookies, etc., to complement existing menus.

Create and bake all types of bread to accompany different meals.
-
Bake and decorate cakes and other baked goods according to requirements.
-
Create baked goods for specific diets (gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, diabetes-friendly, etc.).
-
Talk to suppliers and select ingredients needed for desserts and other baked goods.
-
Establish a budget for ingredient purchases.
-
Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils in good order at all times.
-
Organize and conduct tasting sessions for wait staff and potential clients when needed.
-
Manage time effectively, ensuring all work is completed during shifts and work areas remain clean and orderly.
-
Stock and inventory control.
-
Monitor portion sizes and waste to maintain profit margins.
-
Ensure high food hygiene standards and comply with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a similar capacity.
-
Strong working knowledge of baking techniques and pastry-making processes.
-
Creative and artistic skills for decorating cakes and desserts.
-
Keen attention to detail.

الحفاظ على المعدات والأدوات في المطبخ بحالة جيدة دائمًا.
-
تنظيم جلسات تذوق للموظفين والعملاء المحتملين عند الحاجة.
-
إدارة الوقت بفعالية لضمان إتمام جميع الأعمال أثناء النوبات والحفاظ على نظافة وترتيب مناطق العمل.
-
مراقبة المخزون والتحكم فيه.
-
متابعة حجم الحصص والهدر للحفاظ على هوامش الربح.

المؤهلات والخبرة
