Quantity Surveyor (MEP) FIDIC Expertise

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage all contractual and financial aspects of MEP construction projects, ensuring compliance with FIDIC contract conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for MEP projects

• Subcontractor Management: Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor quotations and packages

• Project Cost Monitoring: Monitor project costs and prepare regular financial reports

• Claims & Variations: Assess and process progress claims, variations, and final accounts

• Contract Compliance: Ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions, particularly FIDIC

• Contractual Support: Assist in preparation of contractual claims and dispute resolution

• Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial efficiency

• Site Verification: Conduct site visits and verify physical progress of works for valuation purpose

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the MEP sector

• Strong knowledge of FIDIC conditions of contract (Red, Yellow, or Silver Book preferred)

• Proven experience in cost control, contract administration, and claims

• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., Candy, CostX) is a plus

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
