Hiring – Occupational Therapist | Alia Autism Center, Bahrain

Alia Autism Center is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team and support children and young adults with autism. The ideal candidate will design and implement individualized therapy programs that promote independence, communication, and life skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of sensory, motor, and functional skills

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans

• Support students in building independence in daily living skills

• Collaborate with teachers, behavior therapists, and families to generalize skills across settings

• Provide parent training and guidance on strategies for home use

• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress

• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) development and review meetings

• Contribute to vocational and life skills training programs for young adults

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in Bahrain (NHRA registration required)

• Experience working with children or young adults with autism or developmental disabilities

• Knowledge of sensory integration, functional life skills, and assistive tools

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with ABA principles

• Experience in school or clinical settings

• Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools

يبحث مركز علياء للتوحد عن أخصائي/ة علاج وظيفي للانضمام إلى الفريق متعدد التخصصات لدعم الأطفال والشباب المصابين بالتوحد. سيكون المرشح مسؤولًا عن تصميم وتنفيذ برامج علاجية فردية لتعزيز الاستقلالية، التواصل، ومهارات الحياة اليومية.

المهام الرئيسية

• تقييم المهارات الحسية، الحركية، والوظيفية

• تطوير وتنفيذ خطط علاج فردية

• دعم الطلاب في بناء الاستقلالية في مهارات الحياة اليومية

المؤهلات

• درجة البكالوريوس أو الماجستير في العلاج الوظيفي

• ترخيص صالح أو القدرة على الحصول على ترخيص في البحرين (تسجيل NHRA مطلوب)

• خبرة في العمل مع الأطفال أو الشباب المصابين بالتوحد أو ذوي الإعاقة النمائية

• معرفة بالاندماج الحسي، مهارات الحياة العملية، والأدوات المساعدة

• مهارات تواصل وعمل جماعي ممتازة

• معرفة بمبادئ ABA

• خبرة في البيئات المدرسية أو السريرية
