Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead and support our electrical engineering team. The role involves guiding project teams, preparing designs and calculations, managing manpower planning, performing technical studies, and ensuring adherence to international codes and standards for onshore and offshore projects in the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical Engineering department and team members.

• Identify and arrange training for office and field electrical teams.

• Monitor personnel deployment and continuous development.

• Conduct manpower planning, proposals, and presentations; prepare electrical guidelines.

• Manage engineering deliverables, including single line diagrams, schematics, layouts, specifications, studies, reports, and datasheets.

• Perform calculations and system studies: Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Harmonic, Transient Stability, Power Factor Correction, Cable & Tray sizing, Lighting calculations.

• Conduct technical investigations, produce reports, and implement engineering standards and procedures.

• Perform site surveys and modifications for brownfield projects.

• Prepare material and sub-contract requisitions for HV/LV switchboards, transformers, UPS, trace heating, and ELV systems (Telecom, CCTV, Access Control, PAGA).

• Liaise with clients and internal functional teams; participate in meetings and workshops.

• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for electrical equipment.

• Ensure compliance with relevant international codes and standards.

• Exposure to FEED, Brownfield, and Upstream Oil projects, both onshore and offshore.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas Engineering Consultancy.

• Proficiency in software tools: AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst, HelioScope, DIALux.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
