Solar Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop solar PV system layouts using AutoCAD and related design software.
• Perform energy yield assessments using simulation tools such as PVSyst, Helioscope, or equivalent.
• Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and technical feasibility studies.
• Prepare electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, civil and structural engineers, and external vendors to ensure alignment across design and execution stages.
• Review and ensure compliance with local codes (EWA), standards, and safety regulations related to solar installations.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Optimize system designs to improve performance and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering (required).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working on solar power plant projects (utility-scale or C&I).
• Proficiency in PVSyst or equivalent energy simulation software.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for system design and layout.
• Familiarity with grid-connected and off-grid solar PV systems.
• Understanding of relevant codes and standards (IEC, NEC, etc.).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Professional engineering license (CRPEP) [Preferred]
• Strong project management, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills in the English language [Preferred]

مهندس الطاقة الشمسية

الأدوار والمسؤوليات

• تصميم وتطوير مخططات أنظمة الطاقة الشمسية الكهروضوئية باستخدام برنامج AutoCAD وبرامج التصميم ذات الصلة.
• قم بإجراء تقييمات إنتاج الطاقة باستخدام أدوات المحاكاة مثل PVSyst أو Helioscope أو ما يعادلها.
• إجراء تقييمات الموقع، وتحليل التظليل، ودراسات الجدوى الفنية.

• المعرفة بأنظمة الطاقة الشمسية الكهروضوئية المتصلة بالشبكة وخارج الشبكة.
• فهم القواعد والمعايير ذات الصلة (IEC، NEC، وما إلى ذلك).
• القدرة على تفسير الرسومات الفنية وبيانات المشروع والمخططات التفصيلية.
• مهارات ممتازة في حل المشكلات والاهتمام بالتفاصيل.
