GE Vernova is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to lead the design and qualification of its next-generation GridBeats software-defined solutions. This role will deliver integrated, value-based offerings tailored to the dynamic needs of utility customers and the evolving power grid. A strong focus on pre-sales, technical positioning, and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

🛠 Solution Architecture Development

• Design scalable, interoperable solutions including digital substations, centralized/distributed architectures, and secure communication interfaces.

• Ensure designs are cyber-resilient, compliant with customer requirements, and optimized for budget.

• Develop and maintain standardized solution blueprints and documentation.

🎯 Solution Differentiation & Value Creation

• Define solution differentiators addressing customer pain points.

• Demonstrate value via performance, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and overall benefits.

• Lead demos, PoCs, pilot projects, and technical workshops.

🤝 Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

• Lead technical specification development and support tenders.

• Review RFQs and craft proposals that include architectures, responsibilities, and value.

• Qualify opportunities with end users and support sales strategy execution.

• Build strong relationships with customers and explore new business opportunities.

📢 Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

• Host co-creation sessions, technical deep dives, and training for sales/partners/end-users.

• Support marketing and tender teams with technical input and visuals.

• Contribute to product improvement strategies and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field.

• 10+ years in utility grid operations, substation automation, or smart grid projects.

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Application Engineer in grid modernization.

• Knowledge in:

• Digital substations

• IEC standards and protocols

• Transmission/distribution automation

• Virtualization and predictive analytics

• Load shedding, islanding, microgrids, protection schemes

• Experience with GE Vernova, Grid Solutions, or similar platforms.

• Familiar with cloud-based platforms, edge computing, and digital twins.

• Strong communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Industry certifications (e.g., GIAC, ISA/IEC 62443/27001)

• Awareness of trends in energy transition, cyber security, virtualization, SCADA, IEC 61850, and software-defined grid management tools.
