Procurement Officer

🛒 Procurement Responsibilities

• Conduct purchasing activities for products and services across the region in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Receive and review purchase requests, checking details against pre-defined criteria.

• Explore sourcing possibilities through both internal and external channels.

💬 Supplier Negotiations & Management

• Lead negotiations on pricing, lead times, and payment terms with suppliers to secure the best value.

• Conduct supplier pre-qualification checks based on evaluation criteria.

• Coordinate with HSEQ for supplier audits and complete all registration formalities.

📦 Supplier Performance & Follow-up

• Perform post-delivery assessments to evaluate supplier performance.

• Ensure supplier compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

📑 Purchase Order Processing

• Obtain necessary approvals and suggest alternatives when required.

• Develop Purchase Orders (POs) in line with approved purchase requests or contracts.

• Coordinate with the Finance department to ensure timely supplier payments.

📊 Monitoring & Improvement

• Review and analyze the status of PRs, POs, and contracts periodically.

• Recommend corrective actions to enhance procurement practices and close performance gaps.

• Contribute to improving local and regional procurement processes and policies.

🏛️ Government & Regulatory Interface

• Act as liaison with the Supreme Council for Environment and other government bodies.

• Ensure all permits and approvals for purchasing/importing activities are handled according to regulations.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for effective stock and procurement management.

• Manage and regularly update the supplier/vendor database.

• Support internal and external audits and ensure timely completion.

• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules, ensuring timely and compliant implementation.
