Reforming & Aromatics Technical Services Engineer (F/M)

Job Objective

Provide post start-up technical services for Axens licensed and non-licensed units running on Axens catalyst/adsorbent. This includes troubleshooting, performance monitoring, start-up support, inspections, and catalyst/adsorbent loading.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform unit follow-up with HQ and AME Technical Services teams.

• Provide troubleshooting and technical expertise during start-ups, turnarounds, or emergencies.

• Support catalyst/adsorbent change-outs and performance monitoring.

• Provide feedback for improvements in designs and procedures.

• Manage client interface in high-stress situations.

• Ensure compliance with Axens quality and HSE standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in petroleum refining or petrochemical operations.

• Strong teamwork, troubleshooting, and customer relationship skills.

• Proactive, innovative, and entrepreneurial mindset.

• Ability to work in interdisciplinary environments.

• Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).

• Willingness to travel frequently.

المهام الرئيسية

المتطلبات

• درجة البكالوريوس أو الهندسة في الهندسة الكيميائية/الميكانيكية أو ما يعادلها.

• خبرة عملية لا تقل عن 3 سنوات في مجال التكرير أو البتروكيماويات.

• مهارات قوية في العمل الجماعي وحل المشكلات وبناء علاقات العملاء.

Job Title: Reforming Technology Engineer (F/M)

Context:
The Technology and Technical Support (T&TS) Business Division ensures the performance of Axens’ technologies and products across oil & biomass processing, petrochemicals, gas, water treatment, and CO₂ capture. The Reforming Product Line team focuses on catalytic reforming technologies, supporting sales, clients, and R&D actions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical proposals for reforming technologies and catalysts, including performance, catalyst quantities, operating conditions, and cycle times.

• Support Regional Sales Managers during bid preparation and client presentations.

• Update and develop marketing documents, publications, and conference materials.

• Monitor client units, perform technical reviews, and support troubleshooting.

• Conduct short-term overseas field missions for unit performance testing, catalyst replacement, and activation.

• Collect and analyze data to improve technologies and products.

• Maintain technical expertise and propose enhancements to product offerings.

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Chemistry.

• Initial experience in engineering design, refinery, catalysts, or petrochemical operations.

• Knowledge of refining/petrochemical processes is a plus.

• Familiarity with simulation tools such as ProII, Hysys is advantageous.

• Fluent in English.

Skills:

• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and in small teams.
