Job Title: Solution Architect – GridBeats Software Solutions
Location: Remote (Relocation Assistance Provided)Job Summary:
GE Vernova is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to lead the technical design, development, and qualification of GridBeats – a cutting-edge suite of software-defined grid solutions. The candidate will integrate multiple solutions and technologies to deliver differentiated, value-based offerings addressing evolving customer and grid needs.
This role will be critical in solution architecture, technical positioning, pre-sales qualification, and cross-functional enablement.
Roles & Responsibilities
Solution Architecture Development

Design scalable, interoperable solutions for integrated digital substations and grid systems.

Ensure solutions are cyber-resilient, customer compliant, and cost-optimized.

Develop and maintain standardized solution blueprints and architectures.
Solution Differentiation & Value Creation
-
Create differentiators addressing customer pain points.

Demonstrate value via technical performance, TCO, and benefits.

Lead PoCs, demos, workshops, and pilots to showcase solutions.
Pre-Sales, Proposal & Customer Engagement
-
Support SPEC-In activities by drafting technical specifications.

Review RFQs, prepare technical proposals, and define value propositions.

Qualify opportunities and support pursuit strategies.
-
Build strong customer relationships to identify growth opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
-
Conduct customer workshops and deep-dive technical sessions.

Deliver internal/external technical training.

Support marketing, bid, and tendering teams with technical inputs.

Contribute to product improvement strategies and roadmaps.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s in Electrical/Communications Engineering (or related field).

10+ years’ experience in utility grid operations, substation automation, smart grid tech, or related domains.

Strong expertise as Solution Architect/Application Engineer in grid modernization.

Knowledge of digital substations, IEC standards, SCADA, transmission & distribution automation.

Familiarity with virtualization, predictive analytics, and grid protection schemes.
Desired Characteristics

Experience with GE Vernova/Grid Solutions is highly desirable.

Knowledge of cloud, digital twins, and edge computing.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Industry certifications (GIAC, ISA/IEC 62443/27001) preferred.
