Role Overview: Project Engineer
📍 Location: Bahrain

The Project Engineer meticulously plans and integrates designs, translating PV and grid infrastructure designs into high-performing energy assets. The role includes handling various functional requirements such as HSE, Legal & Regulatory, Risk, Quality, and Commissioning according to YDE standards and local/international regulations. Acting as a central coordinator, the engineer oversees project deliverables from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the business development team and represent YDE during commercial negotiations.

• Develop project scopes involving all stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.

• Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and coordinate with EPC contractors.

• Manage projects from contract signing through project acceptance certificate (PAC) by planning milestones and execution.

• Develop plans for solar energy system development, monitoring, and evaluation.

• Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans using problem-solving skills.

• Ensure efficient use of manpower and adherence to YDE standards in all project activities.

• Monitor project progress and ensure timelines meet industry quality standards.

• Coordinate with clients and contractors to ensure smooth project processes.

• Maintain strong client relationships through regular updates and meetings.

• Oversee site engineering, quality control, and problem-solving.

• Ensure submitted design documents meet specifications.

• Apply HSE knowledge to comply with company guidelines.

• Conduct site audits for structural and electrical data collection for solar power system design.

• Review specifications and recommend changes to meet solar design objectives.

• Evaluate technological and environmental impacts of plans or specs.
