Computer Specialist

VAM Systems is currently looking for a Computer Specialist for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms:

🎓 Educational Qualification & Certifications

• Must have a B.Sc. degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.

• Certification in A+, MOUS, Network+, or MCDST (preferable).

• Minimum 3 years progressive experience in the computer field.

🛠 Required Skills

• Good communication skills.

• Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing) and preferably Arabic.

📋 Roles & Responsibilities

• Support users by troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.

• Participate in the implementation of departmental projects.

• Study user technical requirements related to hardware and software.

• Prepare computers with the latest OS, drivers, and necessary hardware settings.

• Develop and update hardware and software procedures.

• Test and evaluate new hardware and software functionalities, recommending the most appropriate solutions.

• Work with modern technology and provide suggestions to develop and improve work processes.

Experience Required

• Minimum 8 years managing IT projects and portfolios.

• Experience in FinTech organizations is a plus.

• Proven experience overseeing diverse IT projects including new solution deployments, mobile development, and infrastructure deployment.

• PMP certification is required, with proficiency in both Traditional and Agile Project Management techniques.

• Scrum Master certification is an advantage.

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer (preferred).

• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Solutions Architect.

• Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer.

• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) preferred.

• ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).

💼 Experience

• 5+ years of DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments.

• 3+ years’ experience with containerization and orchestration.

• 2+ years’ experience with Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Experience with enterprise-scale deployments.

• Experience working in 24x7 IT operations, especially in the Banking domain.
