About the Role: Project Engineer 🌟
📍 Location: Bahrain

Our Project Engineers meticulously plan and integrate designs (translating PV and Grid Infrastructure designs from paper into high-performing energy assets), and address other functional requirements (including HSE, Legal & Regulatory, Risk, Quality, and Commissioning as per YDE standards and applicable local/international regulations) for the execution of Solar PV on-site energy projects. They serve as a nerve center, coordinating with various teams and overseeing the monitoring and control of project deliverables from conception to completion.

This role manages project deliverable requirements and contractor relations, in addition to establishing and monitoring metrics, project schedules, and cost performance of the project in accordance with company systems and practices. The engineer provides guidance and supervision to project deliverables, reviews and approves design, shop drawings, material submittals, quantities and quality of work.

What You’ll Do:

1. Project Development & Execution

• Provide technical support to business development and represent YDE in commercial negotiations.

• Develop project scopes and prepare RFPs.

• Manage projects from contract signing to PAC, planning milestones and execution.

• Create solar system development, monitoring, and evaluation plans.

• Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans.

• Monitor project progress and ensure timelines and quality standards.

• Coordinate with clients and contractors for smooth processes.

• Maintain client relationships with regular updates.

• Oversee site engineering, quality control, and problem-solving.

• Ensure designs meet specifications and HSE compliance.

• Conduct engineering site audits and collect site data.

• Review and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes.

• Facilitate internal and external progress reporting.

• Knowledgeable of local utility regulations for permits and solar project implementation.

• Inspect, test, and commission solar projects per industry standards.

2. Project Evaluation

• Pre-qualify EPC contractors per YDE policies.

• Inspect finished products and apply quality control plans.

• Conduct cost reduction analysis for solar systems.

• Create checklists for project reviews and inspections.

• Test and assess photovoltaic cells or modules.

• Analyze costs and benefits of designs/projects.

• Recommend technical improvements.

• Finalize projects with relevant authorities.

What We’re Looking For:
Technical Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• 5+ years of experience in PV power plant design and execution.

• Proficient in PV Syst, MS Project, and/or Primavera.

• Knowledge of local utility regulations and permitting.

Preferred:

• Project Management Certification (PMP, IPMA, or Prince 2).

• Experience with BESS, hybrid systems, and grid-tied C&I projects (1MW to 5MW).

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and HSE standards.

• تحليل التكاليف والفوائد للمشاريع.

• تقديم توصيات لتحسين التصميمات أو العمليات.

• إتمام إجراءات المشروع مع الجهات المختصة.

ما نبحث عنه:
المهارات التقنية:

• شهادة بكالوريوس في الهندسة الكهربائية.

• خبرة 5 سنوات فما فوق في تصميم وتنفيذ محطات الطاقة الشمسية.

• إتقان استخدام برامج PV Syst، MS Project، و/أو Primavera.

• معرفة باللوائح المحلية ومتطلبات التصاريح.

يفضل:
