Journeyman Technician – Bahrain

About the Role
Our team is seeking a skilled Journeyman Technician to support the sustainment and modernization of critical naval tactical networks, including ADNS, CANES, CENTRIXS, ISNS, and SCI networks. You will work closely with government and civilian management teams to coordinate tasks, ship visits, and priorities in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform system installations, upgrades, sustainment, distance support, and configuration management for servers, networking devices, workstations, storage devices, and peripherals.

Conduct root cause analysis on network issues and recommend permanent configuration changes to support mission readiness.

Coordinate with StratasCorp Technician Dispatch, shipboard crews, contractors, and vendors for troubleshooting and system integration.

Interface with customers to advise on proper maintenance of shipboard networks and equipment.

Perform administrative duties including attending technical meetings, reporting status, and preparing data for reports and data calls.
Requirements

Current IAT II or higher security certification per DoD 8570.01M, with the ability to obtain Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire.

Minimum 5 years of progressive IT experience in enterprise-scale environments.

Entry-level knowledge of CANES; desirable knowledge in ADNS, CENTRIXS, ISNS, SCI networks, Windows Server administration, and Cisco networking devices.

Ability to travel to Chesapeake, VA for up to one month of hands-on training at the start of the assignment.

Flexibility to work overtime to meet ship schedules.

Willingness to take ship rides for critical work.

Ability to drive to various destinations as required.
