Technical Sales Engineer – Power Transmission Components

Role Snapshot

Based in Manama, Bahrain, you will act as the technical link between industrial customers and our comprehensive range of power-transmission products, including bearings, belts, chains & sprockets, pulleys, couplings, and related services. Your mission is to identify customer problems, engineer value-adding solutions, and grow profitable sales while ensuring full compliance with Bahrain regulations and company ethics.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with maintenance, reliability, and purchasing teams to understand challenges and translate needs into technical proposals.

• Engineer and present solutions such as product upgrades, lubrication improvements, or complete kits to enhance uptime and reduce costs.

• Prepare clear quotations and cost-benefit analyses using lifecycle calculations relevant to Bahrain industry decision-makers.

• Drive business development by following structured call plans, opening new accounts, deepening existing relationships, and managing CRM pipelines.

• Provide first-line application support and coordinate with internal engineers or OEM partners for specialized expertise.

• Track market trends in Bahrain (mining, oil & gas, water, cement) and relay insights to the product management team.

• Ensure compliance with Bahrain labor, trade, and environmental regulations.

• Report performance via weekly visit summaries and monthly forecasts.

• Stay updated by attending technical workshops and industry events.

• Collaborate with logistics, inside sales, and finance teams for smooth customer service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 2–5 years industrial field sales experience, preferably in Bahrain or GCC.

• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment components (bearings, belts, chains, pulleys, couplings).

• Experience in consultative sales in heavy industries such as mining, oil & gas, or manufacturing.

• Proficient with CRM and MS Office; CAD reading or selection software is a plus.

• Excellent English communication skills; Arabic fluency highly desirable.

• Valid Bahrain or transferable GCC driving license with willingness to travel (~60% of time).

• Familiarity with local procurement and HSE standards is a plus.
