Chief Information Security Officer

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our Information Security, Data Governance, IT Risk Management, and Cybersecurity functions in line with Bahrain’s regulatory and legal framework. Reporting to the executive leadership and interacting directly with the Board, this role will oversee compliance with the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Rulebook (Volume 5), relevant cybersecurity modules, and data protection requirements under Bahrain Law No. 30 of 2018 (Personal Data Protection Law – PDPL).

Team Leadership

The CISO will also lead a team that includes the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and the Head of IT Security & Audit to ensure security resilience and regulatory readiness across our fintech operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and data protection, particularly within the fintech or financial services sector. Prior experience interfacing with the CBB and leading certification efforts (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001) in Bahrain or the GCC is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute the company-wide information and cybersecurity strategy aligned with business priorities and the CBB’s requirements.

• Lead and develop the InfoSec team, including the DPO and Head of IT Security & Audit.

• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities such as the Central Bank of Bahrain, external auditors, and PCI assessors on all matters related to cybersecurity and compliance.

• Advise executive management and the Board on cyber risk and IT governance.

Legal Counsel

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Legal Counsel to manage the Company’s legal needs in Bahrain and collaborate with the broader legal team across 13 jurisdictions. This role requires expertise in financial regulations, commercial contracts, digital payments, and cross-border legal frameworks. Reporting to the Group’s Chief Legal Officer and the CEO of Pay10 Bahrain, the Legal Counsel will operate independently while contributing to a growing global legal team.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Advisory

• Provide legal support related to the Company’s corporate operations.

• Maintain and update the Company’s main corporate records.

• Manage relationships with corporate service providers.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

• Keep licensing records current and coordinate with teams on license renewals or updates.

• Work closely with compliance and risk teams to enhance governance and internal controls within the Bahrain entity.

Contracts & Commercial Law

• Draft, negotiate, and review significant contracts such as client agreements, technology licenses, partnerships, and vendor contracts.

• Ensure contracts are legally sound, enforceable, and comply with Bahrain regulations and business risk policies.
