About the Role:

Function is building FBTC — the premier omnichain wrapper for Bitcoin across DeFi ecosystems, enabling lending, yield generation, and composability without counterparty risk. With $1.5B+ in TVL across 10 chains and backed by top investors, we are rapidly scaling. We’re seeking a Business Development Lead to drive growth with partners across L2s, DeFi protocols, institutions, and retail platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Run strategic roadmapping to identify and rank growth opportunities

• Design frameworks to prioritize chain expansion, integrations, and LP onboarding

• Execute go-to-market pilots to validate directions and reduce feedback loops

• Own BD outreach and lead deals with DeFi protocols, wallets, vaults, and institutional LPs

• Track partner performance and maintain high-impact relationships

• Document KPIs and coordinate across product, BD, and marketing

• Lead feedback cycles and strategic alignment

You Are:

• Experienced in DeFi, BTCFi, LSTs, and vault mechanics

• Strategic and analytical with execution focus

• Strong communicator and independent decision-maker

• Proactive in sourcing and closing partnerships

• Comfortable in 0→1 environments with fast iteration

Preferred Background:

• 3–6+ years in strategy or BD within crypto protocols or institutions
