🇬🇧 Job Purpose

Develop and execute procurement strategies and processes to source goods and services efficiently across all business areas, including indirect and direct operations.
Source products and services, select suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms (especially with government-owned entities), process orders, manage contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
Drive sub-regional category strategies, identify and recommend best-in-class suppliers, and build strong, value-driven relationships.
Maintain close partnerships with country-level stakeholders, acting as the main representative of GBS Procurement in Bahrain.

Develop business development strategies aligned with overall business goals, financial objectives, and Group policies.
Draft business plans and budgets, including account management strategies for the assigned geographic region.
Monitor revenue, profit/expense objectives, and coordinate customer growth and retention.
Plan and execute new business initiatives to maximize DHL’s exposure among target prospects.
Lead the sales team to initiate and establish relationships with potential clients.
Conduct market and feasibility studies to evaluate market potential.
Prospect for new business opportunities via research and marketing initiatives.
Explore partnerships with government authorities and other relevant entities.
Identify and acquire profitable business relationships with key customers.
Develop major leads, assist in proposal preparations, and support technical teams.
