Job Description

Leidos is seeking a skilled SATCOM Engineering Support Specialist to provide Tier 2 network support for a complex enterprise WAN/LAN network and Radio Frequency (RF) systems supporting the MARCENT program in Bahrain. This role demands strong troubleshooting skills, system maintenance experience, and telecommunications inventory management to ensure optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier 2 support for WAN, LAN, and RF systems to ensure smooth network operations.

• Operate and maintain SATCOM hardware including modems, redundancy switches, HPAs, LNAs, LNBs, ACUs, SSPAs, antennas, HVAC units, UPS, and generators.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting beyond Built-In-Test capabilities using Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).

• Manage installation supplies and maintain daily telecommunications inventory tracking.

• Operate and support satellite radios, FDMA, TDMA modems, and iDirect or Linkway modems and hubs.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop network configuration best practices, monitor systems, manage patches, and enforce security.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience (additional training or certifications may substitute).

• Active Secret clearance.
