Digital Transformation Specialist – Support to NHDR 2026 in Bahrain
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage digital transformation initiatives within government institutions in Bahrain.
Support the preparation and development of the National Human Development Report (NHDR) for 2026.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government institutions, to identify and implement digital strategies that align with Bahrain’s development priorities.
Advise on the integration of digital technologies in public sector services to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for capacity development in digital technologies for government bodies.
Engage with international experts, local institutions, and UNDP counterparts to ensure effective delivery and monitoring of digital transformation efforts.
Contribute to the alignment of the digital strategy with Bahrain’s Vision 2030 and SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in digital transformation projects, preferably in the public sector.
Strong understanding of Bahrain’s economic and national development strategies, particularly Vision 2030.
Familiarity with the UNDP's role in promoting sustainable human development.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of digital initiatives.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Knowledge of international best practices in digital governance and innovation.
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Digital Transformation, Public Administration, or a related field.
Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).

المهارات والمؤهلات المطلوبة
خبرة مثبتة في مشاريع التحول الرقمي، ويفضل في القطاع العام.
فهم قوي لاستراتيجيات البحرين الاقتصادية والتنموية، خاصة رؤية 2030.
دراية بدور الأمم المتحدة في تعزيز التنمية البشرية المستدامة.
مهارات إدارة المشاريع الممتازة، مع القدرة على الإشراف على التخطيط والتنفيذ والتقييم للمبادرات الرقمية.
مهارات تواصل قوية وقدرة على التفاعل مع أصحاب المصلحة.
معرفة بأفضل الممارسات الدولية في الحوكمة الرقمية والابتكار.
درجة الماجستير في تكنولوجيا المعلومات، التحول الرقمي، الإدارة العامة، أو أي مجال ذي صلة.
إتقان اللغة الإنجليزية (اللغة العربية ميزة إضافية).
