 Civil Engineering - Intern

What You'll Be Doing

Quantity Surveyor

What You'll Be Doing

Assist the SQS in all matters relating to the financial and contractual aspects of the project.

Participate, record and assist in the preparation of the minutes of the progress meetings.

Provide support to the SQS on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.

Participate in all commercial meetings.

Liaise with the SQS to ensure prompt submittal and completeness of Contractors monthly payment applications and assist the SQS in finalizing the payment certificates.

Maintain and streamline all cost and quantity records.

Advise the SRE and REs on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.

Evaluate the unit rates for new work items and present to the SQS for review.

Participate in recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process.

Assist the SQS in the preparation of variation orders.

Participate in the Evaluate contractual claims for review by the SQS.

Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of entitlement of Contractors claims for review and issuance by the SQS.

Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues.

Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.

Senior Utility Design Engineer

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Utility Engineer will have responsibility for the review of requirements associated with PMC role to provide design reviews

Work in close coordination with the Lead Designer and/or Design Director and others, lead and direct the efficient, professional analysis, synthesis, and recommendation of conceptual design alternatives to establish, communicate and sell the design vision for landscape architectural design projects.

Supervise the preparation, design and presentation of high-quality urban design concept drawings and reports.

Supervise the preparation of technical design packages through to tender and monitor construction quality.

Shall have basic experience in creating utility cross sections as per requirements of local authorities in Bahrain and Gulf region and, etc.

Liaise with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, internal and external team members including master planners, architects, urban designers, specialist designers, all engineering disciplines and quantity surveyors.

Plan, program and delegate within the team structure and participate in workflow reporting and planning.

Provide high level liaison with Clients and Client’s representatives.

Ensure quality and timely delivery of design review deliverables in accordance with the agreed schedule and plan

Participate in technical reviews and progress reporting and liaising with internal clients. Provide update reports to the Design Review Manager or project manager and clients when requested

What Required Skills You'll Bring

20 years of related work experience in the planning, design and management of major projects.

Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.

Demonstrated experience of business development, team building (including sub-consultants), and project delivery.

Demonstrated ability to grow market share. Must have strong relationships with key clients in Bahrain

Demonstrated experience in the effective coordination of regional business development efforts, including an understanding of overall corporate business strategies.

Demonstrated ability to identify, recruit, mentor and develop talent.

Creative and innovative leader with the ability to communicate a vision and inspire others.

الإشراف على إعداد حزم التصميم الفني حتى طرح العطاءات ومراقبة جودة البناء.

يجب أن يكون لديه خبرة أساسية في إنشاء مقاطع المرافق وفقًا لمتطلبات السلطات المحلية في البحرين ومنطقة الخليج وما إلى ذلك.
