Other Duties And Responsibilities Include

 Operate tools and equipment (including necessary protective equipment) required to repair and maintain UCA fiber optic cables.

 Conduct testing of UCA cables at required intervals to ensure the necessary supply of available fully operational UCAs is maintained.

 Update UCA status in the UCA tracker for the assigned region.

 Track planned arrival and departure of vessels at assigned piers and respond within the required service target to provide connect/disconnect service.

 Track daily activities in the approved ticketing system.

 Assist in the development and update of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for connect/disconnect services, fiber optic cable testing, and fiber optic cable repair for the assigned region.

 Travel to other locations within the assigned region to conduct maintenance and repair of UCA cables.

 What You’ll Do

Verify Benefits & Enrollment: Process enrollments, disenrollments, portability transfers, and more via systems like Defense Online Enrollment System (DOES) and MHS Genesis.

Primary Care Manager (PCM) Changes: Follow Military Treatment Facility (MTF) guidelines to make individual and batch PCM updates.

Education & Customer Service: Offer guidance on TRICARE resources, benefits, enrollment, and claims, assisting beneficiaries both in person and over the phone.

Claims Assistance: Provide basic claims status updates and support.

Conduct Briefings: Lead informational sessions for various events such as in/out processing, maternity, and pre-separation/retirement.

Data Management: Collect and record daily activities and Other Health Insurance (OHI) info into applicable systems.

Assess & Escalate Issues: Evaluate the level of assistance needed and refer or escalate complex issues as needed for proper resolution.

Compliance & Confidentiality: Comply with all HIPAA regulations, maintain confidentiality and proper handling of Protected Health Information (PHI), and complete Leidos and other training courses on time.

Collaborate & Support: Assist with remote support, train new team members, and other duties as assigned.

Cyber Security Specialist

What You'll Get To Do

Provide security configuration management of Cyber Security devices.

Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems.

Develop and execute Government approved security policies, plans, and procedures; implement data network security measures; operate and monitor network intrusion detection and forensic systems; conduct IS security incident handling.

Operate Endpoint Security Systems (Trellix/MDE), firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), other point of presence security tools, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and related security operations.

Perform defensive cyber operation duties including, but not limited to, ensuring workstation and server compliancy with Security Technical Implemtation Guides; identifying cybersecurity incidents using Trellix, Tenable SecurityCenter, RedSeal, Splunk Security Information and Event Manager (SIEM), and other automated tools; performing forensics and remedial action on cybersecurity incidents; and reporting defensive cyber operations statistics.

Selected individual will supervise a small team and communicate with the government customer routinely as the Subject Matter Expert for all systems under their purview.
