What You’ll Do

Assist in gathering and preparing data from multiple sources for analysis

Clean, transform, and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency

Support related teams with installed base fleet analysis and data quality improvements

Help build a pipeline for new ITO orders (Inquiry to Order)

Support the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) team in consolidating and generating the forecasted for the region

Job Description

What you’ll do 

Execute assignments according to GE Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality requirements & ensure rules are understood by the crew prior to the start of work.

Provide technical and Environmental, Health & Safety direction to those performing the work on Customer sites.

Lead and supervise repair jobs at Customer sites and act as the representative of OSS in front of the customer (internal and external) to ensure safe, quality and timely completion of work.

Perform in-situ machining operations, including milling, boring, flange facing, drilling, grinding, and turning, on gas and steam turbine components.

Operate portable boring bars and machining equipment for precise machining of turbine casings, bearing housings, and diaphragms.

Conduct gas turbine casing alignment to ensure proper fit and assembly of turbine components.

Perform steam turbine diaphragm alignment to restore concentricity and minimize efficiency losses.

Carry out shaft and journal repairs, including grinding, polishing, and metal spraying, to restore worn-out surfaces.

Use laser or dial indicator alignment techniques to achieve precise positioning of machined components. Complete all pre-job planning and post job reporting required, fulfilling the needs of the customer as assigned including machine and tooling preparation, ordering parts and supplies.

What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications)

Must have achieved a High School Diploma, GED Or equivalent Two-year technical or Trade School Degree.

Significant years of experience on conducting and performing large generator repairs inclusive of (Generator Stator rewinds / Generator stator re-wedge / High voltage bushing replacement / End winding repairs / Generator rotor repairs / Brazing / etc.. ) in industrial and/or utility power plant. 

Performing mechanical component disassembly / reassembly work on large

generators.

Having experience on conducting testing / inspection of generators in excess of 80 Megawatts .

English language is a must.
