On Development Assignment - Chemical Engineering Candidates

Responsibilities

Fire Truck Operator

Responsibilities

The position of Fire Truck Operator is held accountable for operating all fire fighting equipment including driving, and performing fire fighting activities to meet emergency situations. Job holder is also required to carry out routine inspection for the fire trucks, fire appliances, and equipment to ensure their availability and reliability. Fire Truck Operator is responsible for providing fire related services as and when requested by Bahrain Civil Defence and Mutual Aid Companies (Alba, Banagas, and GPIC). The job holder performs the duties and responsibilities of Firewatcher and/or Equipment Technician during critical unplanned activities, shutdown, and/or special operations whenever directed to assist in ensuring continuing availability of fire emergency and other related services. The job holder performs the duties and responsibilities of Fire Station Operator during the absence of the job holder which would include making decisions related to the response and coordination during emergencies, and assisting in conducting relevant fire and rescue trainings. The job holder is required to guide a small group of fire squad and Bahrain Civil Defence along with individuals from concerned departments during emergencies to ensure the safety of the personnel and property. The work is standardized and based on established Company policies and procedures, Process Safety Management, HS&E Standards, and National Fire Protection Association standards. Job holder has the authority to take decisions during an emergency or related to the organisation of the work. The work is supervised for adherence to time, safety and uali standards.
