Cyber Security Specialist - NGEN-R SMIT (Manama, Bahrain)
About the Role:
Leidos' Defense Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Specialist to support the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract, located in Manama, Bahrain.
NGEN-R SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy, providing cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Leidos plays a key role in unifying the Navy’s shore-based networks and data management, improving capability and service, while also reducing costs by consolidating efforts under one enterprise network.
As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will manage all aspects of Information Systems (IS) data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. You will provide leadership in executing information security management services, offering a wide range of activities and operations across the enterprise.
What You'll Get To Do:
-
Provide security configuration management for Cyber Security devices.
-
Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems and networks, ensuring adherence to established security standards and Governmental requirements.

Develop and execute Government-approved security policies, plans, and procedures; implement data network security measures.
-
Operate and monitor network intrusion detection and forensic systems.
-
Handle IS security incidents and conduct incident response.
-
Operate Endpoint Security Systems (Trellix/MDE), firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
-
Perform defensive cyber operations duties including ensuring workstation and server compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides.

Supervise a small team and serve as the Subject Matter Expert for all systems under your purview, communicating with the government customer regularly.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
-
US Citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance.
-
B.S Degree and 4–8 years of relevant experience (or High School Degree and 14 years of experience).
-
Compliant with DoD 8140 IAT Level III.
-
At least one OS/network certification (CCNP, CCNA, MDAA, Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, Microsoft Azure Administrator, etc.).
-
Experience operating, maintaining, and administering endpoint security detection and response services and solutions.
-
Hands-on experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.
-
Extensive experience configuring and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have:

10 years of experience in information assurance and cyber security support across a broad range of programs.

Top Secret Clearance.

ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification.
-
CISSP or CASP+ certification.

Scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible).
Pay Range:
$85,150.00 - $153,925.00 (based on experience and qualifications).

تشغيل ومراقبة أنظمة اكتشاف التسلل والتحقيق الجنائي.

التعامل مع الحوادث الأمنية في نظم المعلومات والقيام بالاستجابة للحوادث.

تشغيل أنظمة الأمان في نقاط النهاية (مثل Trellix/MDE)، وجدران الحماية، وأنظمة منع التسلل (IPS)، وأنظمة اكتشاف التسلل (IDS)، والشبكات الخاصة الافتراضية (VPNs).

أداء مهام العمليات السيبرانية الدفاعية بما في ذلك ضمان التوافق مع أدلة التنفيذ الفني للأمن للمحطات الطرفية والخوادم.
