Strategic Partnerships Officer – UN Resident Coordination Office
Introduction: The United Nations Secretary-General launched a bold reform in 2019 to reposition the UN Development System for more effective support to countries in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The position is located in the UN Resident Coordination Office (RCO) in Manama, Bahrain. The Partnerships Officer will support the UN’s mission by facilitating strategic partnerships with civil society, the private sector, and other stakeholders to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs.

Responsibilities:

Assist with strategic planning and coordination of UNCT’s partnerships with civil society, private sector, and other SDG stakeholders.

Participate in resource mobilization initiatives and manage pooled funds to support the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.

Advise on partnership opportunities to drive SDG financing and manage resources for development cooperation.

Contribute to knowledge management and capacity development in partnership building and resource mobilization.
Conditions:

A Master’s degree in business, sustainable development, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree with additional qualifying experience may be accepted.

A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in development cooperation, partnership strategies, and resource mobilization is required.

Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

خبرة لا تقل عن سنتين في التعاون الإنمائي، استراتيجيات الشراكات، وتعبئة الموارد.

إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية والعربية.
