Job Opportunity at GE Vernova – Winder Position – Bahrain – Remote

Job Overview:

GE Vernova, a global leader in energy technology, is looking for a Winder to join its team in Bahrain. The role involves maintaining and rewinding large electrical generators at customer sites around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical disassembly and reassembly of generator rotors (including couplings, fans, retaining rings, blower hubs, wedges, blocking).
Major and minor generator stator repairs (including full stator rewinds, end winding repairs, wedging, chemical applications, RTD connections, HV bushing replacements).
Use drawings, procedures, and work orders with minimal supervision.
Perform brazing using torch, carbon, or induction methods.
Conduct all electrical testing and inspections.
Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical problems.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or a 2-year technical/trade school degree.
Several years of experience working on large generator repairs, including stator rewinds, wedging, HV bushing replacement, end winding repairs, rotor repairs, and brazing.
Experience with mechanical disassembly/reassembly of large generators.
Hands-on testing/inspection of generators above 80 megawatts.
Fluency in English is required.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States (for international assignments, if needed).
Willingness to travel frequently on short notice (100% travel, domestic and international).
Ability to obtain and maintain access to nuclear facilities.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
Must pass drug and background screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

Skilled in working with GE equipment.
Previous experience in team leadership or supervision.
Basic computer skills.
