About the job

If you fancy using your testing skills in one of Bahrain’s top digital banking apps then this is the place for you.

 This is a contract position with a company that's been transforming the industry throughout the MENA region. They provide customers with access to a modern banking experience through their digital and mobile solutions.

 You’ll be mainly testing these mobile applications, with some API and performance testing thrown into the mix. The more automation the better.

 

What you need:

Mobile testing is essential so both iOS & Android testing with Appium.

Cucumber.

API testing, ideally Postman.

Java & JMeter would be a bonus.

Chief Technology Officer

What You’ll Be Doing:

Setting and delivering the end-to-end technology roadmap as CTO.

Leading the revamp and scale-up of a digital financial platform.

Building and launching products across areas like BNPL, microfinance, and regionally compliant financial solutions.

Overseeing infrastructure, uptime, security, and cloud performance.

Embedding DevOps and automation to support agile delivery.

Driving AI/ML adoption for decisioning, risk, and personalisation.

Ensuring compliance with complex regional data and financial regulations.

Developing and aligning teams across multiple countries.

Leading vendor and partner relationships to support delivery.

  What You’ll Need to Succeed:

 Around 15+ years in senior technology leadership, ideally in fintech, financial services, or another regulated industry.

Extensive senior leadership experience in fintech, financial services, or regulated tech environments.

Proven ability to scale platforms from early-stage to mass-market usage.

Hands-on technical capability (this isn’t a purely high-level CTO role).

Experience across cloud, security, and infrastructure strategy.

Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory risk in financial services.

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re comfortable working at both strategic and delivery level, and enjoy building things that scale in regulated, high-growth environments.

Arabic language skills (preferred).

Willingness to be based in Bahrain, with regular travel across the GCC.
